During the second COVID wave of spring 2022 I was selected to participate in an artist residency at Museo della Scienza e della Tecnica Leonardo da Vinci, which is THE science/technology museum in Italy (located in Milan). The project was organized by BEPART and the idea was to have 8 digital artists creating an augmented reality experience inspired by the work of Leonardo da Vinci. Each one would be location-based, choosing from spots in the city to which Leonardo had both practical and symbolical ties to. I chose to reinterpret his machines inner workings, and created a rube-goldberg machine using some of his original designs and added some of my own.
The experience is now part of the permanent exhibition at the museum.
More notes.
Some notes from my sketchbook. Just like Leo would have done it.
